• The City of South Lake Tahoe proposes to improve the living conditions at Single Room Occupancy (SRO) hotels and motels through a draft ordinance. Our community contains approximately 120 hotels/motels with a total of more than 5,000 rooms. Approximately 26% of these rooms are used for long-term rentals on either a continuous or seasonal basis. Join us on Wednesday, April 22nd at 5pm at the Senior Center located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. to talk about this import issue to ensure health and safety issues exist for the occupants, the neighborhood and the community.

This will help preserve your property value specifically and maintain the association’s property value in general.

    The (TKPOA) has approximately 70 Long Term Rentals in the Community. A “Long Term Rental” defined by the City of South Lake Tahoe Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Code 28A-18 is defined as occupancy over 30 days.

  • The City of South Lake Tahoe wants your input on proposed changes to the Vacation Home Rental Code. A public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 24th at 5:30 pm in the City Council Chambers located at 1901 Airport Rd.
