Islander 2 Utility Upgrade

Dear Islanders 2 Residents, 

Thank you for your patience as we have been working through your project with Haen Constructors. The sewer line portion of the project is nearing completion and during excavation we were able to Value Engineer some savings into the sewer lines.

The water line portion of the project kicks off next week and will be completed by June 30th. This will be done via trench as opposed to full demo to maintain parking lot access during weekends and holidays. There may be 1-2 hour periods at most where individual units do not have water while these are tied in. 

Simultaneously, Southwest Gas did not have Islanders 2 on their schedule to replace lines for the foreseeable future. Now that they have seen the work and see an opportunity to replace the gas lines with the parking lot work being completed, they are mandating that we allow them to replace the gas lines as well. This does not have a cost to you, but does extend the project timeline.

The asphalt replacement will start on August 3rd (at the culmination of the gas line replacement, and we expect the full project to be complete by August 7th .  The city has given permission for street parking during this construction. Please be sure not to obstruct any driveways or mailboxes.
