Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) Shore Line Plan – Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association (TKPOA)
Town Hall Forum – Tuesday September 21st, 2021 5:00PM-7:00PM
On Tuesday September 21st, 2021 the TKPOA will host a Town Hall Forum from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Pavilion and on Zoom. The purpose of this Town Hall Forum is to provide an Open Forum for TKPOA Property Owners and Representatives from the TKPOA Board of Directors, and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) to discuss the TRPA Shoreline Plan Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The TKPOA and the TRPA have been working of the TRPA Shoreline MOU since 2018, and now have the best and final proposal that provides benefits for both. The Shoreline MOU delegates the administration of moorings and lagoon structures to the TKPOA Architecture Control Committee (ACC). Current existing dock structures within the Tahoe Keys and Lake Tallac are exempt from the TRPA application and permit approval process, as long as annual Shoreline mooring registration fees are paid in accordance with this MOU.
Adoption of this MOU will bring the TKPOA in conformance with the TRPA rules and regulations relating to permitting of shorezone structures within the lagoons and the registration of moorings, which is critical to ensuring the continued efforts of TRPA in helping to secure additional funding for the control of aquatic invasive weeds in the Tahoe Keys Lagoons.
